Play of Fate

All earthly pleasures are temporary,
Consuming with it everything that lives contemporary,
There's a mystic consuming this abominable lair,
A vagrant force that controls the very air,
Named as fate, the judge of time,
It's fear's eternal until even the last chime,
There's no chance of any evasion,
In its existence itself is apparent the invasion,
Witness how it masters all this animation,
Lacking nowhere in its part any anticipation,
How it has turned majestic monarchs to beggars,
How it has driven into hearts its wrathed daggers,
How the realms of weakness have been turned to fury,
How the battles of foretold doom have been turned to victory,
How a betrayed lover weeps in intolerable sorrow,
How a rotting prisoner fears his judgement of tomorrow,
Even Help is helpless to answer the desperate hails,
Of the trapped victims voicing their unheeded tales,
Within every being is an unturned hourglass,
Whose grains shower below in an untimely mass,
Realization of fate's alliance with nature is bitter,
It's denial like freedom tied by a fetter,
Unarguably, there's no gameplayer better than fate,
That forms its own rules of inevitable bait,
